Yet another popular geoscience stop, Klinkhamaren is situated just to the north west of Blanknuten.
Etymology: Klinkhamaren essentially means 'the riveting hammer'.
Approach notes
As with all of Edgeøya the area is a prominent nature reserve and well outside of management area 10. Therefore, permission, permits and insurance are essential prior to travel.
Access best via helicopter or boat in summer season, access by ski or sled may be possible in early spring providing sea ice is still present.
