Roadside crag with 3 sectors, located at 2300m and north-facing so will take a day or so to dry after rain. The multi-pitch routes are a bit discontinuous with grassy sections.
3km south, next to the abandoned Rifugio Berni, are two small, trivial buttresses. Worth mentioning because they would be great for kids (easy access, low grades, safe base) and also for the stunning alpine setting. (If you ignore the motorbikes conquering the pass - and you can't really hear them!).
Approaching from Santa Caterina in Valfurva take the road to the Gavia Pass. After passing the mountain huts of Paghera cross the Ponte dell'Alpe road bridge and after 200m park in a layby on the left at the first break in the crash barrier. The single-pitch routes are located 50m above the layby and the multi-pitch routes just below the layby, scramble down to the left, the routes finish 10m from the road.
For the Rifugio Berni crags park roadside by the new Rifugio and take the obvious track to the old one. The lower sector is next to the main Gavia Pass footpath.
