Crag features
A great little spot a short way from Spofforth Pinnacles. Good Eavestones-esque rock with a slightly highball nature, in a lovley wooded setting. Due to guess work in grading please grade as you see fit. (Note: Numbers on topos match numbers in the problem descriptions)Â
Approach notes
Approach depends on parking. If parked in the layby near the bridge on Plompton Road, you will need to cross into the field and follow the footpath left along the tree line. Once you reach a road (A661) head right following the wall until you reach a ditch. Please cross here (about 10m from the wall), and when on the other side, the Twin Peaks Block will be visible to the left and the Heroes League Wall to the right. If parked in the layby on the A661 cross into the field and follow instructions as above.
Restricted Access
These buttresses are in a private woodland but access may be gained by email to liz.parr66@gmail.com if you are planning a visit. Only the two buttresses described can be accessed as the rest of the woodland is off limits and there is a strict no dogs policy. Any of the criteria not met will affect future access with a permanent ban.
