St. Mary's sport crag offers excellent and technically challenging climbing. The rock is for the most part very clean and has a southerly aspect - it catches the sun well all day.
From Cranbrook head north on Highway 93. Just after Marysville turn left (west) on St. Mary's Lake road. Follow this until you come out of the forest road and hit the edge of the lake where the tarmac turns to dirt. The crag is immediately on your right, behind the treeline.
The approach is literally seconds from the road. You should be able to make out the chains on the upper wall from your car.
You'll come to the Basement area initially with lower graded climbs and nice slabs, the more impressive and larger upper section is a short scramble away.
