Awesome Basalt column climbing via approach chains that's help you negotiate the choss band (careful not to total your partner) at the base of the crag.
Good topo here.
Mostly single pitch climbs although some routes have an often worthwhile second pitch or extension. Many routes have bolts for protection but additional trad gear is normally required. Double bolt belays with rings are found at most stances. 60m+ (80m best) required.
Take tarmac road from Dunedin, that turns to gravel, follow until final parking area. Continue on foot following main track, first through small forest. Continue contouring and following marker posts and signs for loop path until above the crag and Bay Area. Either descend the ridge or obvious gully to the left. 20 mins in total.
