A beautiful, stand-alone mountain in northern Ecuador, easily visilble from the valleys. The principal Normal Route is a walk and easy scramble, but to continue around the volcano rim to the true summit is very worthwhile and warrants PD.
Usually approached from NE, parking in vicinity of La Esperenza. Refer to guidebook and speak to locals for the latest info. A 4x4 is essential if you want to get as high as possible before starting.
