Due to the ongoing spread of Covid-19, please abstain from climbing outside.
At UKC we are all climbers and we understand the strong urge to be outdoors as the weather is finally improving, but we feel this is no longer socially acceptable. You can read our statement here.
We have suspended the UKC Logbooks Top Ascents and Conditions pages and we will no longer accept ascents dated from 23rd March onwards. You can still upload your historic ascents.

The Gorge is a very special place to be. The steep surrounding walls ensure that the place has a unique atmosphere which may feel claustrophobic for some, but for most it will just add to the fine climbing experience. Coupled with these good routes are some sensational waterfalls that give some of the best climbing at Rjukan. Just look at the number of stars in the Upper Gorge and you will understand why you just have to go down here to do at least one of them. Chances are that you will return again and again, to bag classic after classic.
