Crag features
Small, pleasant limestone esoterica. Mostly very nice rock, pockets and features give similar climbing style to Brassington limestone. Some very good routes here.
Some loose rock at the extreme left hand end of the crag around "Cloth Off" has now been cleaned but exercise caution.
| April 2024 - there is an old-looking rope and krab lower off on a hawthorn tree at the top of Midnight Choir/Ants Have Sex in Your Beer. Only one branch of the tree had new leaves growing on it and the rest looked dead. I wouldn't want to use it on the current state, although fully toping out on very steep grass looks scary and hard. Topping out from Woodseats Boat Moving Club just to the right was not too hard. There are secure rock belays 10 mtrs back that could be used for all the routes in this sector, but a static rope set up as lower off from those flakes might be useful for some of the lines.
