Crag topo as seen outside the flegere lift station in summer © Webster

Crag features

A great little 1 or 2 pitch crag barely 5 mins walk from the lift station. Mostly slabby in nature with a number of small overlaps and a steep headwall in the central section. It is a very new crag, and as such there is still some loose rock around, and plenty of vegetation/moss/lichen in places. On the plus side there is zero polish, which you will be thankfull for given the slabby nature of the climbs! The crag gets plenty of sun, and will be sweltering on a hot summers day. it is perhaps best in eary autumn before the lift closes, or on a cool summers day. In spring it will be difficult and dangerous to access due to snow.

Approach notes

The crag is well signposted from the lift station, just follow the big green signs! There is also a topo on the board directly opposite the exit from the lift. The final 50m or so of the approach is down a chossy gully equipped with a cable and some ladders, so good footwear is essential despite the proximity to the lift. this is not a flip-flop cragging spot!

This is in Haute Savoie - not Haute Provence.
