Continuing westwards (from Sanaigmore) along the coast a natural cliff girt amphitheatre backs and encloses the inlet of Geodha Uamh nam Fear and its adjacent headlands and inlets. The reamins of settlements and defensive walls are still evident in the bowl of the amphitheatre. Access to this rather magical area is via an obvious gap in the backing cliffs at NR 220 710. (From Inner Hebrides and Arran 2014, p205)
Aug 2022: Definitely a golden eagle nesting in the amphitheatre. Nest up high on right hand cliffs looking in, partner say it flying around.
Took us nearly an hour to walk-in, going a bit rough especially going to the col to drop into the amphitheatre.
