Crag features

This underpass contains 2 long walls, (SE and SW), a shorter wall, and a few other shorter triangular walls. These are in fact William Mitchell murals; designed and built for climbing on. There are a fair number of arêtes and a few overhangs in the forms of entrances to the pedestrian tunnels leading to the underpass.

Coating in interesting features these walls are primarily designed for young children to climb on but that doesn't mean that you can't come up with some pretty tricky routes!

Approach notes

There is a free carpark just under the flyover, immediately off the roundabout to the North East. You can access the car park from either side of the flyover once you have come of it (and possibly gone round the roundabout).

There is an obvious walkway down some steps and through a tunnel but this does smell a bit so I would advice crossing the road towards the bus stop to the East and then going down the steps and through the tunnel to the underpass.

No Access Issues

Has a reputation for being a bit of a rough area

UBMC will be visiting here on 18th May to set some new routes!
