Approach notes

From parking / bus stop at the Morgarten Information Center (commemerating the 1315 battle) at Schornen to the southwest, a trail proceeds pleasantly from the north side of the infromation center building through woodland and pasture, sometimes along farm or forest roads with fleeting views down to the Ägerisee. At a junction of paths and farm track at 985m the way is further signposted along the farm road heading south and climbing to the Alpwirtschaft Rapperli, while a slightly longer way, or round trip, is possible using the forest track heading north to pt.1008m via pt.1002m, and from there via pt.1069m to the summit. A route from Rothenthurm on the east side is also possible.
