Kato Zakros Cave offers fantastic views overlooking the beaches of Kato Zakros, olive groves, and the valley with remnants of a Minoan palace. It is beautiful. In addition, you are 200m from the sea, so can enjoy both climbing and water activities during the day.
The crag offers some smooth yellow limestone, and some sharper grey rock. The crag contains many well-bolted pitches of 6a-6b, and so perfect for beginner to enjoy the climbing here. Most of the routes are shorter than 20m, however, it is best to have at a 50m long rope.
Good topo here.
Kato Zakros Cave is located 150m from the beaches of Kato Zakros. From the village, follow the path leading to Pelekita Cave.
