A small pleasant crag with modest potential. Large blocks of rock up to 10m with straight edges. Scarce gear. Limited trad. Possible highball solo problems. Picturesque situation with lots of sun. Quick drying rock. The ground is wet in places.
It's on the western slopes of Middlefell. You can park on the roadside about a quarter of a mile up from Wastwater toward Greendale Farm. Follow quad bike tracks 0.5km north-east between two small hills below Hausegreen Crags, until near the fence around Smithy Beck. Facing north with the fence on the right, the crag should be obvious midway up the hillside ahead at the top of a rocky re-entrant.
