Crag features

A collection of seaside walls and boulders just outside Portnahaven. Mostly non tidal. Pebble level is very variable so problems can be buried or double their height after a storm! So take grades and sit starts with a pinch of salt.

May have been climbed on before but I have enthusiastically recorded many problems. Some are a bit squeezed together but as is my nearest crag I was very keen at first. Still more to be done especially if your keen for high balls but certainly most of the obvious stuff in the chasm area has been recorded.

Approach notes

Best approached from Portnahaven but can also be accessed from the pebble beach at Port- Reidhleinn. From Portnahaven the most friendly to the locals parking is at the village hall just as you enter the village. Wander down the road to the right of the bay, past the pub (An TighSeinnse). Near the end of the road is a small footpath sign, follow that to the shore and pop over the stile. There is a vague path through the bog driest over the top of the hill. Rock is soon visible but most recorded problems are on the beach around the chasm so its best to follow the path over the hill to the pebble beach and easily identifiable chasm area. In most tidal states you can access via the pebble beach. Otherwise head through the grimy chasm.
