The Steinicht is a beautiful region of the Elstertal, where the river has carved the landscape forming steep cliffs on either side. The nature reserve includes the gorge and surrounding forests, which host a wealth of various flora and fauna.
Steinicht is the largest climbing area in the Vogtland. A huge number of buttresses can be found in the gorge, providing a wide selection of climbing for all climbers to enjoy.
