Deep water solo crag only available in high summer or other low levels of the reservoir, although apparently it will be left low Walkable without wading.
Rough gabrro like texture and sound. Unlike most dolertite. 3-4m.
Park at the sign for a walk and handrail the river then cut across the dry reservoir bed Heading for the first island on your left. Head for the pine trees on the north of the island.
Only appears when low reservoir levels.
Many many geese nesting on islands 13/5/25, swam across but turned back immediately, boulders are also underwater and can be viewed from the road on the west of the reservoir.
As of June 24 currently the loch is full so no exposed rock to climb. Nick_Scots - 09/Jul/24 |
