Crag features

Behind The Skerries pub up on Bangor mountain is a big steep face of snappy choss which as old BUMs legend has it is home to a an E grade climb sent by the Redhead himself. Below this face are a few boulders of questionable rock quality but none the less have alleviated the lockdown boredom. There is a big big prow which is the skerries mega proj.

Approach notes

From The Skerries pub walk towards the high street untill you get the the entrance to Mount Street opposite Williams and Goodwin. Follow this road past the car park onto Ger Y Mynnedd untill you reach the path onto Bangor mountain. Instead of taking the direct path, take the small path to the left following the rail visible from the road. Follow this path which widens zig zags a couple of time before taking the small path in the direction of the pub where you will pass a gap in a broken wall. Continue on until you arrive at an opening with a view over the harbour area of Bangor. This is the top of the large face, carefully follow the path down to the and back on yourself over a fallen tree, drop down to the next level where you find the faces of the boulders.
