Climbs 23
Rocktype Limestone
Altitude 131m a.s.l

Crag features

A small cliff of scoria located in Taipei City, above the Xinbeitou hot spring area. There are 23 documented routes with several more that aren’t worth reclaiming from the overgrowth. All routes are less than 15m long, densely packed and bolted. The Overhang Wall can be setup for top-rope from above. All areas are shaded until around noon. Trees provide some cover from the sun, but also prime territory for mosquitos. It’s a pretty spot with lots of jungly vegetation and scenic views from the top.

Approach notes

A 30 minute walk from the MRT, or a 5 minute walk from the trailhead (25.135342, 121.516474). From here, walk up the trail for 2 mins until you get to a boulder. Turn right, going uphill on a faint trail over roots and rocks. You will soon come to exposed rock and a minute later to the First Wall. Continue along the trail for 1-3 minutes to reach the others.
