Rocktype Gritstone
Altitude 391m a.s.l
Faces W
A large gritstone boulder which can be climbed on all faces at an acessible level. Surrounded by many other boulders below a low cliff, which all have the potential for further exploration.
Parking
Drive towards Ystradfellte on the minor road from the junction with the A4059. Where the road splits (with the waterfalls signposted to the left) take the right fork. Immediately after a small section of immature forestry plantation there is a stile on the right. Park just beyond the stile or on the opposite side of the road taking care to ensure your vehicle is not blocking access along the road for large lorries and farm vehicles.
Approach Walk
Cross the stile and follow a rough path upwards towards a second stile. After crossing this stile head up and left below the cliff and pick up an indistinct path northwards along the base of the main crag. Follow this until you reach the last group of boulders below the cliff, the largest of which has the most route options.
