Crag features
A free standing granite block in a quiet setting. Problems from f6A to f8A. Some drilled pockets, quite a few bolted-on / glued-on holds and a few bolts to work/clean some of the harder problems. Some of the harder problems have poor landings - originally a wooden platform had been constructed to give better landings but this seems to have disappeared so take a few pads and perhaps a few spotters. The boulder sees little traffic and may need a clean - a (soft) brush is especially useful in case of mossy top-outs...
Approach notes
From Chamonix, take the first Servoz (also Vaudagne) turn-off from the A40. (From Geneva it is the second Servox turning)Heading for Servoz, turn left before the bridge over the Arve, heading for the 'Les Racines' industrial area. Park at the small substation and follow the 4x4 track left into the woods. following the signs for the ruined chateau of Saint Michel. After 5 minutes the boulder is in the woods to the right of the path.
