A TOPROPE ONLY venue in the Southside, found during endless wanderings through Lockdown.
This is a sandstone bricked bank to support the railway above the White Cart, with perfect holds and plenty of tree belays. Good for an afternoon of novelty shunting when you can't be bothered to go anywhere decent. Expect strange looks from the tenement block opposite.
All routes are accessed by abseil (apart from the first few), the path at the top is thin and treacherous, and there is no belay ledge at the bottom. PLEASE TAKE CARE AT THE TOP!
Remember it is a residential area so keep your power-screams to a minimum and avoid belaying from the fence.
From the railway bridge on Riverside Road, head through the hole in the fence and follow the path up along the top of the wall.
Although seperated from the active railway, this wall is still property of Network Rail. Be understanding if you're told to move on.
