Multiple outcrops for bouldering around the hill known as 'The Gowls' on the Sourthern slopes of The Nebit. Some info here: https://pierreboulderingblog.blogspot.com/search/label/Nebit Potential for some new problems on walls and easy slabs but some loose rock needs cleaning. Alva Glen quarry, above the carpark also has some potential for easy/middle grade problem and trad routes.
In Alva, turn in Brooke St and follow the West bank up of the river up to Alva Glen carpark in the wood. Follow the path, cross the river, and up the steps (check out McArthur Braes waterfall) until you come out onto the hills. Keep walking up and you will see multiple outcrops scattered above you, on the other side of a fence. Walk in is between 20 and 30 minutes up hill.
