Rocktype Limestone
Altitude 411m a.s.l
Faces E

Crag features

A small quarried edge and bay of limestone. There are only 2 routes with gear. There used to be tree to top rope on the right - but this has now fallen down across the top of the routes, but mostly bouldering and solo. Furthest left/south of Llangattock Eastern Edge. The middle  tier is above a bank above a lower tier. Middle  tier currently contains the climbs recorded here and will have had at least a 30 year plus history though with little attention over this time due to the historic access problems. Currently there is little runner protection and is recorded as a bouldering venue for highballs of an easier grade. There is a small upper tier hidden behind a bank above the cleaner climbing tier.

Approach notes

Approach from Crickhowell as for whitewalls caving hut and the Chwar Pant Y Rhiw car park but drive a further 500m to park at the grass by the gasworks pump station below a small holding farm. From Brynmawr, the Darren road around to Llangattock can be taken to the gas pumping station. There is access from Gilwern via Llanelly Hill church arriving at the Darren former dram road with an Awkward turn right ( below lonely shepherd) or via Legar ( Isuzu garage). 400m after/before the garage is a turn to a canal boat yard  continue up the hill via lanes direct to the gas pumping station at the Darren rd

Access -take the track/path by the farm uphill towards the petering out of the crags till a gap in a fence. Go through. in 200m a diagonal path leads up to the left edge and upper tier ( 15 mins)
