There are several areas of climbing around the old fortress dating back to the 15th century. Many of the crags have wide and flat bases, easy access to set up top-ropes and make an excellent sunny afternoon family climbing spot. Bolting is allowed for anchors only and almost all routes have them. While a few routes have been retro-bolted, all are listed as traditional as the bolts will be eventually be cut due to the historical nature of the site.
Free parking under the crag
Climbers welcome and fortress staff are generaly friendly. The right wall is most accesible and well travelled, middle and left sections become overgrown in summer.
