Crag features

Falesia of Manfredonia. Discovered in the early 80s by Pasquale Porcelli and Onofrio Saulle (2 sunny streets "Ricomincio 3" and "Spigolo della disgogna" ascents in alpine style) while the first spiked roads in Spit by Saulle Onofrio and Diana Maghelli began in 1987 and continued at more or less regular intervals by various climbers (Montel, Aloi, Troso, etc.) with various rearrangements and reclosings. Since it has been abandoned for a while, many routes are not accessible due to the presence of brambles under the walls (the usual Saulle is recovering the cleaning and arrangement of the area).

Approach notes

From Manfredonia directions to S.Giovanni Rotondo (SP58). After about 1 Km from the ring road of Manfredonia and after 50m from a gas station located at sn. , turn right onto a paved road (sign "Loc. Pedicagnola"). Continue up to an ENEL turret where you turn left onto a dirt road passing and a farm you reach a small open space (for large vehicles like campers park here), take a right and continue straight ahead leaving a sn access to a barrier with barbed wires. If it is closed, open and close carefully (presence of grazing animals) if instead open continue on dirt road poorly placed up to a widening here you can already stop (walls on the right) or go on for a few tens of meters and park; the walls are in front of you (about 3 minutes from the parking lot for traces of the path straight ahead in front of an alluvial channel). Since it has been abandoned a lot of ways are not accessible due to the presence of brambles under the walls (the usual Saulle is recovering the cleanliness and arrangement of the area)
