Crag features

The Pont du Diable via ferrata runs on either side of the Ardèche just upstream of the historic stone bridge. The first part takes place on the left bank, which can be reached from the stadium car park at the entrance upstream from Thueyts. After a short descent by the passage of the Echelle du Roy in the basalt flow on the edge and above the river to climb a steep pillar.

From there, 2 possibilities:

1 – exit to join the path leading to the right bank via the roof of the Devil

2 – Large zip line of 90 m to be done with a pulley on a short lanyard.

We then reach a footbridge spanning a small talweg, which leads to a small pillar of about thirty meters. Then a crossing leads to an easy path and the ascent of a very steep wall to the right of a cave. We go back down crossing to arrive at the foot of a vertical pillar followed by a new crossing on a path. The still very steep but well equipped final wall leads to the edge of the path, to the orientation table.
