During dry periods the island can be reached which is home to a highball wall and slabs on its NE tip
Approach notes
Currently the road is closed at Armboth (June 2022) due to fallen trees, park here and walk the 0.6 mile to a gate opposite a lay-by where you'd normally park for Thirlmere boulders. Head down and cross onto the island, follow the good path straight up the middle of the island until you reach the NE shaw where a small gully gains access to the wall
