A small, pleasantly-situated outcrop of good limestone with fine views across the valley. It is very sheltered and gets late morning sun.
Park considerately as for Rhyd y Foel (either in the village or by the open area at the north end). Walk to the south end of the village where a signposted footpath leaves the road opposite the last bungalow. Cross the stile and turn immediately right on a less prominent footpath (right of way marked on OS maps). The path rises a little then descends gently to a more open area. At the open area (about 100 m from the road) a faint track zig-zags up the bank above. Take this and at the top, bear right to the clearing below the crag. Ten minutes from the road.
