Crag features

Wonderfully salt weathered basalt, creating some fun and beautiful features to climb, including a pumpy 6b traverse. The hardest climb is currently a 7b+ up the steepest face. A good place to come on a clear day with a northerly wind.

Gálgaklettur means "gallows cliff", this was a site of executions back-in-the-day.

Approach notes

From Keflavík head south towards Reykjanes/Hafnir and take the 45 heading west. The boulders are about 5-10 mins drive from the turn-off with an obvious parking place.

The strenuous hike to the boulders is an arduous, flat 20 metres from the car.
