A multi-faceted mountain of Torridonian sandstone. A few worthwhile summer routes have been recorded but it is in winter that the cliffs offer the best climbing.
The lower south-east nose and north-east cliff mainly provide mountaineering outings in the lower grades. Mainreachan buttress has hard mixed climbing and a few routes that also require ice. The south-east cliff has high quality ice climbs which require careful monitoring of the weather to catch them in condition.
