Escobedo is a small but pleasant crag in an urban setting, it is very close to Santander and can get busy after work and at weekends. The climbing is average but its proximity to Santander Airport and the ferry port make it a good place for a travel day.
This crag is in a small suburb of Santander and is quite difficult to find without a sat-nav. Turn off the S-30 at junction 7 and head west along the CA-240. Drive a few kilometres through semi-urban areas until you head over a more rural hill with a pizzeria on the right just before you descend back into the suburb of Escobedo. 1km after the pizzeria, take one of several roads on the left. If you reach bar Romate then turn left there but the earlier roads are more direct. Navigate your way to a small triangular junction with bins. The road into the quarry leads form the southeast corner into the base of a quarry, with a scout hut and picnic tables.
