Crag features

4 small quarries all located next to each other on the top of the hill. Only 3 have been climbed, with the other one not being that enticing due to the dodgy looking rock face and muddy landing.

The Quarries are:
1. Jacobite Whisky Quarry
2. Traverse Quarry
3. Death Plate Quarry
4. Muddy Landing Quarry (not climbed)

Approach notes

Park at Soudley Ponds. Walk towards Soudley and take a left down towards the farm, following signs for the Zion Chapel. Follow the road up the hill on the other side of the valley. Taking a left and following the path going behind the little chapel. Follow this along the hill side until it reaches the crest of the hill in a little bit of a clearing. Turn right and head up the hill. There will be fencing on the left. Follow this until there's a break in the fence, just be before a style. This is the entrance to Traverse Quarry. To the right of the path is Death Plate Quarry. To get to Jacobite Whisky Quarry, enter Traverse Quarry and head towards Fern Ticket, climb up on the earth's mound on the left and drop down to the path just below, follow this for 30m and Jacobite Whisky Quarry will be on your right. Muddy Landing Quarry has not been explored as the landing zone of any boulder problem would be in a swampy mud bath.
