This modest little crag on the way to Cwm Lloer, though small in stature, is a bit of a gem, with a lot to offer.
Clogwyn Mawr's sunny location, easy approach, and variety of climbing make it a family friendly crag, with steep pitches for the grown-ups and gentler stuff for youngsters to top-rope, all on lovely rock.
Many other short pitches and boulder problems are possible on the outcrops scattered all over this hillside.
The round-topped crag is easily spotted from the main track to Cwm Lloer, about 100 metres before the stone wall across the hillside and 60 metres to the right of the stream.
