Stakes at the bottom for belaying. All trad routes, with bolts at the top for lowering off, no topping out. Bolts in good condition. More information on the Kenyan climbing website www.thecrags.com. Topos on here aren't very clear, can be difficult to first find your routes. Some notes about nesting birds and which areas are available. Can be shaded throughout the day but apparently sometimes the sun dies come round enough to make the rock hot. More than likely you will be belaying with warthogs and zebras wandering past.
plenty of cams needed, the main feature of many climbs are vertical parallel cracks.
Crag is within Hells Gate National Park. Enter through Elsa Gate and after 5 minute drive (4x4 vehicle recommended) you can park right next to cliff after a 100m drive off to the right of the road.
Some notes on www.thecrags.com about bird nesting but it suggests discussing with the local WhatsApp group about access.
£20 entry into national park.
