Many buttresses and faces from 8m to 23m scattered around a beautiful river valley on Stephen Shaw's farm. Mainly well bolted sport routes with a few trad crack challenges. A great addition to the Wharepapa area.

Through farmland, but only with the agreement of the farmer, Stephen Shaw.
Restricted Access
You will need to be a bit organised to climb at Shawthing Rock… Ring/text at least a day before to book in (not after 9pm please), it’s a working farm; there may be hazards to tell you about.
