Climbs 10
Rocktype Limestone
Altitude 304m a.s.l
Faces NW
A small boulder on the SE edge of the Rio Aguas rambla, and the only (half) solid rock in the immediate area. The obvious face yields several independent problems with sit starts, linkups and eliminates galore.
Will be of primary interest to those staying at the Cortijos Urrá Field Centre.
Note - the upper half of the boulder is solid, but the lower half is less so, and subject to change in particularly wet weather.
From the Urrá Field Centre, drop down into the Rambla and head NE towards Los Molinos. Follow the river for 10 minutes until you see the large boulder on the right, just underneath an obvious olive grove on the cliff.
Reverse these directions if heading from Los Molinos, which also has public parking if travelling from elsewhere. 40 minute walk from Los Molinos.
Situated on the Rio Aguas rambla, which is commonly used as a thoroughfare by goat herders, farmers and locals. The Ramblas are public land, although climbing is not common here, so be considerate, and watch out for the shepherd dogs.
