Climbs ?
Rocktype Quartzite
Altitude 373m a.s.l
Some of the best rock in South Wales.
3 - 4 meter high band of beautiful quartzite type rock stretching for several hundred meters through a lush moss coverd woodland.
I have chosen not to upload individual climbs, go and have an adventure. Myself and Cian climbed all the proper lines grades between 6a and 6c. Unfortuneatly there is nothing harder than that there which is not a shitty eliminate.
The independant lines offer some of the best climbing at that grade in the area, thoughourly recommend a trip there to all local cimbers a beautiful spot which will yield a fab day of climbing.
Best to take some cleaning kit as im sure the moss will have encroached back onto the boulders in places, we did the FA's a few years ago now.
Need a few pads there and is fairly remote so best head up with a buddy, you wont be found if you hurt yourself so dont be a tit.
Park in the layby at the bottom of the steep hill where there is a bridge and track crossing the river neath (just down from little neath river cave). Walk up the track, turn left at the top enter the woods as close to the pin as possible- find the rock and follow it along for 300m or so until it becomes sizeable enough to climb...pick out the bigger faces and aretes and enjoy.
