This lovely old limestone kiln sits just off the side of Baden Hill Road in Tytherington. It is a very quiet area, few cars and the occasional dog walker or cyclist. There are four obvious climbs. The right side, two front halves and the left side. But there is plenty more that could be linked together. The surrounding area can get very muddy after periods of rain. It is possible to get on top of the Kiln by walking around the back and is useful when wanting to get back down. This place is perfect in so many ways.
I would love to know if anyone else checks out this location. Only 1 climb has currently been completed. I am @calum.climbs on instagram.
WARNING - HOLDS HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO BREAK OFF AND SOME OF THE TOP LIP STONE IS LOOSE.
You can either park at the pub just down the road and walk down. Or just past the Kiln, driving from the pub direction, is a large layby you can park in and then walk back on yourself a very very short walk to the crag. A better place in my opinion.
