An idyllic and warm viewing area that lies in the lee of the north
wind. Here you can enjoy spring sun and a view towards Sandsøy
and the Norwegian Sea. The mountain here has a very exciting and
climbing-friendly surface; lots of large positive roofs that
are somewhat reminiscent of the roofs you find indoors. Blåfiellet
was unique with its many moderate bolt routes, perfect for
those who have climbed a bit and want to take the plunge. The wall
is approximately 50-60 m high, but many of the routes
were established at a time when 50 m rope was most common, and are
therefore terminated after 25 m.
There are three sectors on the climbing field. The slope
down to the left, the shelf up to the left with steeper
routes, and the trad routes all the way down to the right.
The latter routes are rarely climbed, and all descents are from
old natural pro and sling mounts.
