Foratata is a fantastically situated mountain peak on its own pedestal above the village of Formigal. The summit is a climbers peak as there is no 'walking' route to the top. On the approach lies the Foratata boulders, a great spot for bouldering and single pitch trad climbs.
Mat Dowsett has written an article on the boulders and can be found at: http://www.ukclimbing.com/articles/page.php?id=115 .
There is also a mini Rockfax guide to the area which can be found at: http://www.rockfax.com/publications/miniguides/item.php?id=105 .
Foratata can be easily accessed from either Formigal or Sallent in the Spanish Pyrenees.
