Steep limestone that is a bit atypical of Frankenjura limestone. Quite well bolted, some added, and some new loweroffs. The righthand routes come into the shade in the afternoon.
Park at the now closed Reuthof pub and head then follow the walking route marked with a blue circle / red dot into the woods. Follow the track as it goes out into a field passing a bench on the left then along the right hand side of a 2nd field, passing a shooting seat on the right. At the end of a third field the track heads downhill and right into the woods. Turn right here by a tree with the blue circle/red dot sign and an old wooden signpost pointing to the viewpoint (Aussicht) - this is difficult to see because it is on the opposite side of the tree. Follow the path uphill to the ridge and continue in the same direction towards a small promontory with the viewpoint with a bench. Before you get to the viewpoint, just before the cusp of a small hill there is a faint path going left towards the steep slope. The path zig-zags down the slope towards a bowl. Before you reach the bottom of the bowl, contour right along the steep hillside and round a corner and head downhill to the crag.
