A recently developed crag (as of 2024) by local climber from Ioannina Jim Bean. A huge crag featuring all types of climbing from slabs and vertical walls to steep overhanging tufas on great quality orange marble, orange limestone and black tufas. It is in a beautiful setting next to a river surrounded by trees and consists of 5 sectors all next to each other so it's easy to walk between them. Lots of potential for more routes in the future.
The crag comes into the shade from around 12 at The Nest sector and about an hour later at the other sectors.
To get to Paliochori you need to put the coordinates to Raxoula (39.737826,21.095861) which is a very small village, just before entering the village take a left which is sign posted Palioxori. This road will lead you to the parking for the crag. Crag parking coordinates are (39.725058,21.086138) park in a small grassy plateau under trees (see pictures) then follow the trail in the corner of the parking which is signposted. Follow the path to the riverbed for about 5 minutes to reach the crag.
The road to the parking is asphalt so if you find youreself on a gravel road you've taken a wrong turn somewhere.
