A small and compact crag with a range of easier to moderate boulders on reasonable rock. Rhylolite with quartz veins running through some of the faces which makes for interesting shapes and holds. Some holds are a bit friable, so take care when higher up.
Only some of the crag developed, so plenty still left to do, but expect to need to do some cleaning.
A small but lovely crag about 15 mins walk on from Greenburn Tarn, which is itself about an 1hr 15 mins / 1hr 30 mins from Little Langdale. Steady approach not too steep. If approaching from Three Shires Inn in Little Langdale, walk up to Greenburn Tarn (via Slaters Bridge is likely quickest), then head up the valley from Greenburn toward the obvious knoll up the valley. There is no distinct path from greenburn tarn onwards, but its quite grassy so just avoid the boggy bits. Takes about 1hr 30mins from the parking on the way up with a pad and a decent pace.
