Crag features

A collection of bouldery crags and pinnacles with the best bit of rock being the areas namesake, The Ben Ledi Pinnicale. A smaller pinnacle lies downhill to the North-East near the river and futher small spires and ridges sit to the west. The area is thought to be the remains of the Ben Ledi mine with remenants of what are thought to be mineshafts still accesible from the surface. Currently only 5 routes of been climbed recently with 3 more routes coming from the 1994 edition of the Lowland Outcrops guidebook. The rock quality is good although some climbs need some more traffic on them. Feel free to inquire about anything about this crag.

Approach notes

Access starts the same as the access to the Ben Ledi Boulders. Park in the Ben Ledi car park and walk up the road towards Loch Lubnaig before turning uphill along the track at GR 583 104. Follow the hill path up into Stank Glen until you reach the Ben Ledi boulders on your left hand side. From there the Pinnacles are in sight, skirt around the right hand side of the boulders and trees and until you reach the lower slabs of the crags. (It may be faster to walk/cycle to the top of Ben Ledi and walk down).
