Crag features

Well developed crag- You could spend a lifetime here in the sandstone belt. World famous for its hard sport climbing, the Gorge is also home to a lifetime of easy and moderate sport routes and superb single and short multipitch cragging, and some bonafide adventure routes.

While spring and fall are peak season, you can chase, or run from the sun, in the winter and summer making the Red a year round crag.

For comprehensive beta and banter see www.redriverclimbing.com, and also www.rrgcc.org and www.muirvalley.com

The Gorge is a special place and well worth a visit of any length.

The guidebook is also well worth purchasing for its gorgous full color pictures, topos, and stories. Additionally 20% of the profits go to the Red River Gorge Climbers Collaition, dedicated to keeping routes open and in good condition

Regarding updates-
DO NOT ADD ROUTES TO THIS PAGE!
To keep the Red River Gorge pages usable enter each crag under its guidebook name with with the suffix (RRG). If it is a Muir Valley Crag add the suffix (RRG->MV), and if a PMRP crag add (RRG->PMRP). If you are adding just a few routes from a given crag, please add the WHOLE crag.

It is best to leave the RRG crags with minimal beta and direct users to the freely available online guidebook at www.redriverclimbing.com.
