Crag features

Big ancient giacial cirque, known for its beautiful landscape. Destination for alpinism, trekking in the summer, great spot for ski-alp and ice climbing in winter. At the end of the Val d'Ala, it can be reached by car in summer or by walk (or obviously ski) in winter from the village of Balme (since the road is closed and used for cross-country skiing).

Approach notes

By car or by walk from Balme. In this second case, a road on the North faceing side of the valley leads to the Pian della Mussa (30 minutes or more depending on the sector).
