Lone sand stone boulder which sits in the pine wood of Nant-y-Ffrith, just outside the village of Bwlchgwyn
Park by the ‘Aircrew Memorial’ at the top of the village of Bwlchgwyn. Head down Glascoed Road for about 200m until you reach a foot path on the left that leads on down through the woods, crossing forest roads to a bridge. Go over the bridge and head up the right track (Large house on the left), to where more tracks split! Take the right signposted forest path (for the Ffrith), after about half a mile down this wide track you will pass some small to medium sized moss-covered blocks perched on the left-hand bank. About 20 meters further on you come round a slight left-hand bend, to a prominent stand of planted pines. Walk into this section of wood up the obvious rows, and after about 10 meters head left and up, where the boulder will come into view in a small clearing.
The land owner has asked climbers to be descrete, and respectful. please no large groups, and no bouldering after the hours of darkness. Thank you.
