Climbs 1
Rocktype Limestone
Altitude 1938m a.s.l
Faces N
A prominent ice fall easily visible from the road near the hairpin bend at 1437m. Being north facing at 1900m and with ample water, this cascade forms reliably (as of 2025....). The avalanche risk is modest, due to the lower gradient slopes immediately above the climb.
Ski or walk up paths for about an hour, then thrash up through the forest on the true left bank (west side) of the torrent. When at 1800m traverse into the torrent bed and walk up to the climb. The rock barrier which forms the cascade is at about 1900m. 1 hour 30 mins from road.
