Perched high above the Vicdessos valley, Le Belvédère, unsurprisingly offers a superb view of the landscape. Recent additions have quadrupled the number of routes at the crag, making it well worth a visit, with potential for more. Passing raptors only enhance the atmosphere. It was previously lumped in with Alliat, even though the two sites are accessed from completely different places and now, more than ever, deserves it's own entry. As with any recently developed and lesser visited crag, some holds may still be fragile.
Drive up to the lofty village of Genat and head through to ample parking. Just opposite a track leads between houses, fields and through two gates to open terrain. Continue at the same height, passing just below the pylon to the out of sight crag. A cairned track leads down to the lower tier, stay high for the upper level.
